If you are a gigging/working muso who uses electrical equipment such as; amps; mixers, pedal boards, lighting etc.. Or a DJ/karaoke presenter using decks and TV monitors. It makes sense to get your equipment periodically checked out for electrical safety.
The last thing you want to happen is for someone, (or yourself), at your gig to get a nasty shock or worse, from your equipment, because it is not elecrically sound.
I can perfom these checks (PAT) on your equipment and issue you with a certificate which will inform anyone enquiring that your gear has recently been checked for electrical safety. I have the City & Guilds 2377 qualification which allows me to perform the test and issue the certificates.
The inspection and tests are carried out in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work (etc) Act 1974, the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989, the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 2003, and the provision of Work Equipment Reguations 1998, and in accordance with the guidance laid down by the Institution of Electrical Engineers in thier Code of Practice for In-Service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment
On completion of the test, I will send you, by email, a copy of the test report, which has all the test data and pictures of the equipment tested. and a Portable Appliance Test Certificate.
